Maryland Sen. Barbara Mikulski is reportedly now backing legislation that would require electronic voting machines to produce an audit trail of votes. The AP is saying the Senator's support was announced "a day after a machine she tested at a suburban Washington festival produced an erroneous result."

Robert Greenwald and friends have released the interviews from Outfoxed under a Creative Commons license, making them available for download. Apparently they wanted to release the entire film but, somewhat ironically, were concerned about potential copyright problems. I can't wait to start seeing the remixes showing up. Plans are in the works to also release Uncovered in a similar way.

Unhappy days at NASA this week. First the impact of Genesis in the Utah desert. Then today there's news of the main oxygen generator on the Space Station failing! Lots of backup systems, but that's got to be a rather uncomfortable feeling up there.
