Following yesterday's election, the folks at Black Box Voting have filed the largest Freedom of Information Act (FoIA) request in history. They have requested records from 3000 individual counties and townships. Included among the formal request are internal audit logs, polling place results slips, modem transmission logs, and computer trouble slips.

When similar requests were made following the Sept. 15 primary election in King County, Washington, several major problems were uncovered, including a three hour gap in the logs, beginning soon after the polls closed.
