The War on Photography

Our program for March 7 was about the growing problem of harassment of photographers in public places by law enforcement and security guards. Our guests were photographers Shawn Nee (known as Discarted) and Thomas Hawk, and Peter Bibring, staff attorney at the SoCal ACLU. We talked about personal experiences, photographer rights, and what photographers can do when faced with confrontation by authorities.

Shawn also brought along a VIEVU PVR-PRO 2, a wearable always-on video recorder which can be used to document situations as they happen.
